Will Greenwood (Chief Pilot)
Will’s passion for flying started as a young man on the family farm, where crop dusters used to fly from and this started his aviation interest. He started flying gliders in 1984, going solo at 16yrs and eventually moving to powered aircraft. At 17yrs he learnt to fly powered aircraft at Shoreham Airport in Sussex and has held a Private Pilot’s Licence ever since, mainly flying vintage and classic aircraft.
He has owned various light aircraft over the years, mainly flying from grass airstrips, doing his own maintenance under the watchful eye of an engineering friend. This has given him a good knowledge of aircraft ownership and operations.
Will has held a Display Authorisation for many years, and has displayed in the UK and Europe. He is also the Chief Pilot of Classic Warbird Displays as well as holding a CAA Instructor rating. His move to bigger V-12 aircraft began in 2015 with the purchase of his Yak3, but he is also to be seen flying lighter WW1 aircraft and the Bestmann during the display season.
